Role Description The Chief Librarian will provide strategic and operational leadership for the university library system, ensuring that resources, services, and technologies effectively support teaching,



research, and learning across all schools. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing library staff, overseeing acquisitions and cataloging of print and digital resources, maintaining library budgets, and ensuring adherence to relevant academic and regulatory standards. The role involves developing policies for collection development, access, preservation, and user services, as well as implementing modern library technologies, digital repositories, and information literacy programs for students and faculty. The Chief Librarian will collaborate with academic departments to align library resources with curriculum needs, support research projects, and organize outreach activities and training sessions. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the SGVU campus in Jaipur.
