Role Description The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst is a full-time remote role responsible for monitoring and protecting clients’ IT environments. In this position, the analyst reviews security alerts and logs, triages incidents, and performs initial investigation and analysis of suspicious activities. The role includes escalating and documenting security events, supporting incident response activities, and contributing to the improvement of detection rules and playbooks.

The analyst collaborates with internal teams to maintain security baselines, assist with vulnerability management, and create transparent reports and communication for stakeholders. The SOC Analyst is expected to follow standardized processes, adhere to service level agreements, and participate in continuous improvement of security operations.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess skills in security monitoring and incident detection, such as working with SIEM platforms, log analysis, and real-time alert review.
- Candidates should possess skills in incident response and investigation, including triage, root-cause analysis, threat identification, and documentation of security events.
- Candidates should possess skills in network and system security fundamentals, such as understanding TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and common attack vectors.
- Candidates should possess skills in security frameworks and best practices, including familiarity with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC guidelines and basic knowledge of vulnerability and risk management.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make decisions under time pressure.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent are beneficial, along with prior experience in a SOC or information security role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
