Key Responsibilities:
WAF Implementation & Management:
Configure, deploy, and manage Imperva WAF to protect web applications from threats such as SQL injection, XSS, bot attacks, and DDoS attempts.
Perform regular rule tuning, policy updates, and false-positive reduction to maintain optimal protection levels.
Conduct WAF performance monitoring and troubleshoot application traffic or security events.
Security Tool Integration & Support:
Work with various cybersecurity tools and platforms to strengthen overall infrastructure security.
Operating System & Infrastructure Security:
Maintain solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems , especially related to security configurations, OS hardening, and patch management.
Implement security best practices across servers, applications, and databases.
providing deep-dive investigations into suspicious activities.
Collaborate with the security monitoring team to ensure timely response and remediation of threats.
Support vulnerability scanning and remediation using Qualys tools.
Security Compliance & Governance:
Assist with security audits, compliance checks, and reporting related to WAF and security tool implementations.
Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and organizational security policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with DevOps, infrastructure, application, and compliance teams to integrate WAF and security controls across projects.
Play a key role in the secure deployment of current applications and cloud services.
