Manager, Business Development – U.S. Market
Company: Revenue Optics
Location: India – Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
India Hours: 5:30 p.m.–2:30 a.m. IST
Reports To: Founder and CEO
About the Company
Revenue Optics helps B2B distributors, manufacturers, and private equity firms uncover and capture trapped revenue and EBITDA. We work at the intersection of commercial strategy and execution, helping clients strengthen account coverage, build inside-sales capabilities, optimize pricing, recruit high-impact commercial talent, and deploy AI-enabled revenue solutions. Our clients engage us to solve meaningful growth problems not to produce recommendations that sit on a shelf. We combine deep industry experience, data, technology, talent, and hands-on implementation to build revenue engines that produce measurable results.
As Revenue
Optics enters its next stage of growth, we are building an integrated demand-generation and business-development engine for the U.S. market.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, commercially sharp business-development professional who can turn target accounts and market engagement into qualified executive conversations. You will work directly with our Founder, leadership team, subject-matter experts, and demand-generation function. You will personally execute outbound prospecting, respond to inbound demand, qualify opportunities, nurture executive relationships, and schedule discovery meetings with Revenue Optics’ leadership team.
This is not a call-center position, a script-reading SDR role, or a passive lead-management job. You will engage senior U.S. decision-makers, understand their commercial priorities, and connect those priorities to Revenue Optics’ capabilities. Success requires strong communication, disciplined execution, thoughtful account research, persistent follow-up, and the confidence to engage executives credibly.
Responsibilities
Outbound Pipeline Generation
- Personally complete a minimum of 60 targeted outbound calls per working day.
- Conduct coordinated prospecting through telephone, LinkedIn, email, and text messaging where appropriate and compliant.
- Engage priority accounts across Revenue Optics’ private equity, distribution, and manufacturing ICPs.
- Build personalized outreach based on the prospect’s company, role, industry, growth priorities, and likely commercial challenges.
- Create thoughtful reasons for senior executives to engage with Revenue Optics.
- Maintain persistent, professional follow-up across multiple channels.
- Reengage dormant prospects, previous conversations, referrals, event contacts, and strategic relationships.
- Test and refine messaging, offers, call scripts, sequences, and executive outreach strategies.
Demand-Generation Conversion
- Work closely with marketing to convert demand-generation activity into qualified commercial conversations.
- Follow up with content leads, webinar participants, event attendees, website inquiries, LinkedIn engagement, referrals, and other market signals.
- Prioritize prospects based on account fit, engagement, seniority, timing, and commercial potential.
- Provide feedback to marketing on prospect responses, objections, recurring business challenges, and the messages generating the strongest engagement.
- Ensure valuable leads do not disappear between initial marketing engagement and a leadership discovery conversation.
- Help create an integrated operating rhythm between campaigns, content, outbound prospecting, executive outreach, and sales follow-up.
Executive Engagement and Qualification
- Engage CEOs, commercial executives, sales leaders, pricing leaders, and private equity professionals with confidence and credibility.
- Conduct initial qualification conversations to understand the prospect’s situation, priorities, challenges, stakeholders, and potential business value.
- Communicate Revenue Optics’ positioning and capabilities in clear, commercially relevant language.
- Identify potential opportunities across consulting, pricing, inside sales, talent solutions, AI, and SaaS.
- Determine whether an opportunity warrants a deeper discovery conversation with Revenue Optics leadership.
- Avoid generic pitches by connecting outreach to a specific business hypothesis or market trigger.
Discovery-Meeting Generation
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings with Revenue Optics’ Founder, leadership team, or appropriate practice leader.
- Ensure prospects understand the purpose and expected value of the conversation.
- Confirm meeting attendance and maintain communication with the prospect before the meeting.
- Prepare internal briefing notes covering the company, attendees, business hypothesis, relevant history, identified needs, and recommended discussion points.
- Participate in discovery conversations when appropriate.
- Document decisions, needs, stakeholders, timing, objections, and next steps.
- Coordinate post-meeting follow-up so qualified opportunities continue progressing.
CRM and Pipeline Management
- Own business-development activity in HubSpot from target identification through sales-accepted chance.
- Maintain accurate account records, contact information, engagement history, qualification notes, opportunity value, next steps, and expected timing.
- Ensure every active prospect has a clear next action and follow-up date.
- Maintain accurate pipeline stages and prevent opportunities from becoming stale.
- Produce a concise weekly report covering activity, meetings, conversion, pipeline created, opportunity movement, risks, and leadership support required.
- Use pipeline data to identify which segments, personas, campaigns, messages, and channels are creating the strongest commercial results.
Business-Development System Building
- Help build a repeatable and scalable business-development operating system.
- Document outreach playbooks, qualification criteria, objection responses, messaging, workflows, and follow-up standards.
- Improve the systems connecting marketing, HubSpot, prospecting tools, executive outreach, and leadership follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve research, personalization, prioritization, CRM accuracy, and productivity.
- Contribute to the future recruitment, onboarding, and development of additional business-development team members.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of B2B business development, sales development, account development, or consultative sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience generating business opportunities in the U.S. market.
- Experience personally executing outbound calling, LinkedIn outreach, email prospecting, and structured follow-up.
- Experience engaging directors, vice presidents, C-suite executives, business owners, or private equity professionals.
- Strong spoken and written English with the ability to communicate naturally and credibly with U.S. executives.
