About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with solid exposure to DTC bus workshop operations, preferably with hands-on experience in Electric Bus (EV) maintenance.
The candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance operations across multiple bus depots in Delhi, ensuring timely completion of scheduled preventive maintenance, minimizing vehicle downtime and maintaining high fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall bus maintenance and workshop operations across multiple DTC/electric bus depots in Delhi.
- Plan and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for the complete fleet.
- Ensure all scheduled services, inspections and maintenance activities are completed within defined timelines.
- Monitor vehicle availability, breakdowns, VOR vehicles, out-shedding and fleet utilization.
- Coordinate with Depot Managers, Workshop Managers, Service Engineers, Technicians and OEM/service teams.
- Ensure timely diagnosis and closure of vehicle breakdowns.
- Monitor recurring failures and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Ensure optimum availability of critical spares, consumables, tools and equipment at each depot.
- Monitor workshop manpower productivity, technician utilization and shift deployment.
- Ensure proper maintenance records, job cards, inspection reports and MIS are maintained.
- Review depot-wise maintenance KPIs and prepare periodic performance reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with OEM maintenance procedures, safety standards and DTC operational requirements.
- Drive reduction in maintenance cost, repeat failures and vehicle downtime.
- Conduct regular audits/inspections of workshops and maintenance facilities.
- Coordinate with OEMs and external vendors for technical issues, warranty matters and major repairs.
- Develop and implement standard maintenance practices across all depots.
- Train and guide workshop teams on preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of high-voltage EV systems and electrical components, wherever applicable.
- Ensure strict adherence to EV safety procedures, isolation/LOTO practices and authorized-person requirements.
Electric Bus / EV Exposure Preferred Candidates with experience in electric bus maintenance will be preferred, particularly exposure to:
- High-voltage EV systems
- Battery packs and Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Electric motors and motor controllers/inverters
- Charging systems and charging infrastructure
- DC-DC converters and electrical systems
- Vehicle diagnostics and CAN communication
- EV-specific preventive maintenance
- OEM diagnostic tools and troubleshooting
- HV safety and isolation procedures
Required Experience
- 815 years of experience in automotive/bus fleet maintenance.
- Strong experience in DTC workshop / bus depot maintenance will be highly preferred.
- Experience managing multiple workshops/depots is preferred.
- Experience in electric bus fleet maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Experience in managing workshop manpower and maintenance KPIs.

Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Automobile, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be a hands-on maintenance professional who understands the operational challenges of bus depots and can independently manage maintenance activities across multiple locations. Candidates having DTC workshop experience and electric bus maintenance exposure will be given preference.
