Key Responsibilities

Mainframe Expertise: Deep knowledge of mainframe applications, architectures, data organization, coding patterns, tools, and infrastructure across z/OS, CICS, IMS, DB2, COBOL, PL/I, and related technologies.

Technology Assessment: Conduct portfolio analysis, evaluate coding patterns, build analytical solutions for exceptional code patterns, understand issues and defects, build remedial action with tool team, replicate issues and test cases

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with customer Tech SME, tools team and Technical Leadership across client and EPAM organisation

Governance & Risk: Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements specific to the customer applications,

Required Qualifications

Experience:



10+ years in enterprise mainframe technologies with 5+ years focused on application analysis and reverse engineering.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Technical Skills: Deep IBM Z knowledge; knowledge of modernization approaches; familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud; Mainframe SCM, AI usage experience with Mainframe Code

Tools & Platforms: Knowledge of IBM, SCM Tools, Scheduler Tools, Monitoring Tools, Debugger on Mainframe

Excellent communication and consulting skills • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Experience leading cross-functional teams • Ability to influence executive decision-making
