Job Role & Responsibilities
Hands on end-to-end design/development/ packaging of steering systems. Perform detailed design calculations: steering effort, rack & pinion sizing, gear ratios, strength, durability, and safety margins, etc. Conduct kinematic and dynamic simulations using MSC Adams. Support prototypes, vehicle testing, validation, root-cause analysis, and design improvements. Lead, mentor, and review work of steering design engineers. Collaborate with vehicle integration, suspension, brakes, manufacturing, testing, and supplier quality teams.



Interface with suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and manufacturability targets are met. Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and production requirements. Competency Requirements
Basic design knowledge of Suspension, Wheels & Tires Hands on experience of detail modelling, PLM tools. Using one of modelling software e.g., UG-NX (preferred), Catia, etc. Info on Python coding will be added advantage Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, GD&T;, tolerances, and costing trade-offs. Practical experience with DFMEA, DFM/DFA, DOE, design validation, and root-cause analysis. Behavioral
