About the Role
We are looking for a Fresher Design Engineer to join our Design Team. The candidate will be primarily responsible for preparing 2D engineering drawings for conveyor components and fabricated parts using AutoCAD.
The role is suitable for a candidate who has good basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, dimensions, measurements and AutoCAD, and is willing to learn practical design and fabrication requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare drawings for plates, brackets, supports, structures and conveyor components as per design requirements.
- Convert design requirements into accurate laser-cutting drawings.
- Provide correct dimensions, hole sizes, centre distances, material specifications and quantities in drawings.
- Prepare drawings with proper layers, dimensions, annotations and drawing standards.
- Check drawings carefully for dimensional and fabrication errors before releasing them for production.
- Understand and incorporate design modifications as instructed by senior design engineers.
- Coordinate with the Production and Fabrication teams to understand manufacturing requirements.
- Make necessary corrections in drawings based on production/fabrication feedback.
- Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.
- Assist senior engineers in preparing assembly and fabrication drawings.
- Understand basic BOM and material requirements related to fabricated components.
- Ensure drawings are prepared within the required project timelines.
Required Technical Skills
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering Drawing.
- Knowledge of orthographic views, sectional views and dimensioning.
- Basic understanding of tolerances and fits.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of MS Plate, angles, channels, pipes and other fabrication materials.
- Basic understanding of laser cutting and fabrication processes will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is preferred.

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- Candidates with up to 6 months of relevant experience may also apply.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn practical design and manufacturing processes.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Candidates who are interested in Mechanical Design and AutoCAD drafting will be preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 per month
