1. Position Summary

Jindal Projects and Engineers is looking for young, hardworking and technically motivated ITI candidates to join our Engineering / Production / Projects team. The position is primarily suitable for 2026 ITI pass-outs from relevant mechanical trades. Candidates with 12 years of relevant industrial experience will be considered an added advantage.

The selected candidate will work under the guidance of supervisors and engineers and will receive practical exposure to mechanical assembly, fitting, fabrication, installation, maintenance, inspection and project-related activities.

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Mechanical & Fitting Work
- Perform basic fitting and mechanical assembly activities.
- Assist in installation, dismantling and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments safely and correctly.
- Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, filing and other basic workshop activities as required.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers in mechanical work.

B. Assembly & Fabrication Support
- Assist in assembly and alignment of mechanical components.
- Support fabrication and installation activities as per drawings and instructions.
- Check dimensions and fitment of components.
- Assist in material handling and preparation of components for assembly or fabrication.
- Maintain proper tools and equipment at the workplace.

C. Drawing & Technical Understanding
- Read and understand basic mechanical and fabrication drawings.
- Follow instructions provided by engineers and supervisors.
- Understand basic measurements, dimensions and tolerances.
- Develop practical knowledge of mechanical equipment and engineering processes.

D. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Identify basic mechanical faults and report them to the supervisor.
- Assist in inspection, lubrication, replacement and adjustment of mechanical components.




- Maintain cleanliness and proper working condition of tools and equipment.

E. Project / Site Activities
- Support engineers and supervisors in project execution activities.
- Assist with installation, erection and commissioning-related work where required.
- Participate in site inspections and measurements.
- Follow work instructions and project schedules.
- Coordinate with technicians, supervisors and other team members.

F. Quality & Safety
- Follow company quality standards and work procedures.
- Perform assigned work accurately and carefully.
- Follow all safety rules and site safety instructions.
- Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment issues or quality concerns.

1. Educational Qualification

Essential:

- ITI (NCVT / SCVT) in:

- Fitter

- Machinist

- Turner
- Welder
- or another relevant Mechanical / Engineering Trade
- 2026 pass-outs preferred.

Additional Advantage:

- Relevant apprenticeship or industrial training.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and workshop practices.

1. Experience

- Freshers – 2026 ITI pass-outs are encouraged to apply.
- 1–2 years of relevant industrial experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, project, construction, maintenance or EPC industries will be preferred.

1. Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of fitting and workshop practices.
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and Measuring Tape.




- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of drilling, grinding, cutting, fitting and assembly work.
- Basic understanding of mechanical components and equipment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices.

The ideal candidate should be a 2026 ITI pass-out with a relevant mechanical trade and a strong desire to build a career in the engineering industry. Candidates who demonstrate discipline, technical interest, willingness to learn, safety awareness and a practical approach to work will be preferred.

Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience will receive additional consideration.
