Qualification: B.E. / BCA / MCA / B.Sc. (CS/IT)

Experience: Trainee (Fresher), Administrator (1 - 2 Years), Senior Administrator (3 - 5 Years)

Gender: Male / Female

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Monitoring and maintaining office network, servers, and end user devices.
- Management, and on-going support of company Office 365 implementation.
- Deployment or any recent IT Hardware of Software to meet company objectives.
- Management of IT security implementations deployed by the company. Such as end point protection, server domain controls to limit end user impact on security of the company.
- Routine updates to all end user computers, network switches, servers, firewalls, etc.
- Maintain inventory of all IT assets owned by company, including life cycle management of end user computers, servers, and network equipment.
- Documenting of IT processes required for all IT administrator responsibilities.
- Documenting IT checklists for daily, weekly, monthly tasks.
- Backing up servers, computers, and networking devices.
- Working with third party server backup company to manage and maintain server backups.
- Establish use of OneDrive, where possible, for end users.
- Maintain backups of networking devices for disaster recovery purposes.
- Annual testing of backup services to ensure that full recovery is possible.
- Logging all support interactions in ticketing system and maintains list of ongoing open issues.
- Maintaining ITIL best practices as per company implementation.
- Supervising and mentoring IT department employees, as well as providing IT support.
- Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
- Maintains and builds network topology drawings for all IT infrastructure.
- Responds to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.
- Informs management of recurring problems.




- Participate in ongoing personal training and attainment of technical certifications.
- Lead and provide guidance to the support team on level 1 desktop support.

Skills for IT Systems Administrator

Network Administration:

- Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining office networks, servers, and end-user devices.
- Experience with network switches, firewalls, and network topology.

Office 365 Management:

- In-depth knowledge of managing and supporting Office 365 implementations.

IT Hardware and Software Deployment:

- Ability to deploy and configure new IT hardware and software.

IT Security:

- Understanding of IT security implementations, including endpoint protection and server domain controls.

System Updates and Maintenance:

- Experience with routine updates and maintenance of end-user computers, network switches, servers, and firewalls.

Backup and Recovery:

- Proficiency in backing up servers, computers, and networking devices.
- Experience working with third-party backup companies and conducting disaster recovery testing.

Documentation:

- Strong skills in documenting IT processes and creating checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.

IT Asset Management:

- Ability to maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage their lifecycle.

Cloud Services:

- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions like OneDrive and their implementation for end users.

ITIL Best Practices:

- Knowledge and application of ITIL best practices.

Soft Skills:

Problem-Solving:



Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical issues and implement effective solutions. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting processes, interacting with end-users, and informing management of recurring problems.

Team Leadership: Ability to supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to IT department employees and the support team.

Customer Service: Responding to requests for technical assistance in a professional and timely manner.

Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain documentation, and keep track of ongoing issues.

Additional Skills:

- Staying updated with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
- Experience with ticketing systems for logging support interactions. Ongoing personal training and attainment of relevant technical certifications.

Certifications (Preferred):

- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- ITIL Foundation Certification

Language Proficiency:

English:

- Communication Skills: Essential for clear and effective communication with clients. Proficiency in spoken English is crucial for phone support, while written English is important for email and chat support.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to comprehend and explain technical issues and solutions in English. This includes reading and understanding technical documentation, manuals, and guides.
- Problem-Solving: Skill in discussing and diagnosing problems with non-technical users, requiring clear explanations and instructions in simple, understandable English.
- Documentation: Capable of writing detailed and accurate support tickets, reports, and documentation in English.
