Head Information Technology

Location: South India

Client: A leading international school A leading international school in Chennai is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Information Technology to lead the schools technology function across IT strategy, infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, data governance, digital learning platforms, and AI enablement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute the school’s overall IT strategy and technology roadmap.

- Manage and mentor the IT team, ensuring efficient service delivery.

- Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, devices, and classroom technology.

- Manage enterprise applications including ERP, LMS, SIS, admissions, finance, and HR systems.

- Lead cybersecurity, data protection, access management, and incident response.

- Develop data governance, reporting, analytics, and decision-support systems.

- Drive responsible adoption of AI and digital technologies across the school.

- Establish IT governance, risk management, compliance, and technology policies.

- Ensure effective IT support for students, teachers, staff, and administration.

- Manage IT vendors, procurement, contracts, licensing, and annual budgets.

- Lead technology projects from planning through implementation and review.

- Maintain IT documentation, reporting, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes.

- Drive continuous improvement in IT operations, security, systems,



and user experience.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Postgraduate qualification or relevant qualified certifications would be an advantage.

Experience

- 10 to 15 years of relevant IT experience.

- At least 5 years of experience in an IT leadership or technology management role.

- Experience in education, K–12 schools, higher education, or service-oriented environments is preferred.

- Strong experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, vendors, and IT service delivery.

- Experience in digital transformation, data analytics, or AI enablement would be an advantage.
