Interior Design Site Engineer / Site Coordinator We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and hands-on Interior Design Site Engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day execution and coordination of interior projects.

The Site

Engineer will act as the primary link between the design team and the site execution team, ensuring that the design is accurately translated into the finished project with high standards of workmanship, quality, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities 1. Site Execution &

- Supervision - Be present at and supervise the project site on a regular and continuous basis.
- Take complete responsibility for day-to-day site coordination and execution.
- Ensure all work is carried out according to approved drawings, designs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor workmanship, finishing, dimensions, levels, alignment, and overall execution quality.
- Identify problems and site complications proactively and ensure they are resolved without unnecessary delays.
- Drawing &
- Design Coordination - Study and understand architectural, interior, furniture, electrical, plumbing, ceiling, flooring, and other relevant drawings.
- Ensure contractors and labourers execute work according to the latest approved drawings.
- Check drawings against actual site conditions and identify discrepancies before execution.
- Coordinate with the design team whenever clarification, modification, or additional detailing is required.
- Ensure that updated/revised drawings are properly communicated to the execution team. 3.

Material

Planning &

- Coordination - Prepare material requirements based on the project schedule and upcoming site activities.
- Coordinate with the design, procurement, vendors, and contractors to ensure materials are available at the right time.




- Check incoming materials against approved specifications, samples, brands, finishes, colours, and quantities.
- Ensure materials are properly stored, protected, and used at site.
- Contractor, Labour &
- Team Coordination - Coordinate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, fabricators, civil contractors, vendors, and other labour teams.
- Clearly communicate drawings, dimensions, specifications, and execution requirements.
- Coordinate sequencing between different trades to prevent clashes and delays.
- Follow up continuously on pending work and ensure contractors complete their responsibilities on time.
- Maintain qualified and effective communication with all team members working at the project.
- Client / Owner Coordination - Coordinate with the client/owner at site whenever required.
- Understand and communicate site-related concerns and requirements.
- Ensure client concerns are communicated to the appropriate design/project team and followed through to resolution.
- Maintain professional conduct and communication at all times. 6.

Problem

Solving &

- Quality Control - Take ownership of site-related complications rather than simply reporting problems.
- Coordinate with the relevant designers, contractors, vendors, and project team to find practical and design-appropriate solutions.
- Ensure defective, incorrect, or poor-quality work is identified and rectified.
- Ensure proper coordination between all trades and prevent avoidable rework.




- Maintain the quality and design intent of the project throughout execution.
- Progress &
- Reporting - Track daily site progress and compare it against the project schedule.
- Follow up on critical activities, dependencies, materials, and pending decisions.
- Maintain proper records of site requirements, measurements, material requirements, and progress.
- Regularly update the project/design team regarding progress, delays, issues, and requirements.

Project

Location &

- Travel Requirement This is a site-based role. The candidate must be willing to stay at the project location for the duration of the project or as required by the project schedule. Projects may be located in different cities or locations, and the candidate will be expected to travel and relocate temporarily to whichever project they are assigned to.

The candidate should therefore be comfortable with:

- Staying at project locations outside their home city when required.
- Travelling between project locations as required.
- Working according to site and project requirements.
- Taking full ownership of the project while stationed at the assigned location.

Overall Responsibility The Site

Engineer is expected to take ownership of the entire site execution process—from understanding the drawings and arranging materials to coordinating contractors and labourers, resolving site complications, maintaining quality, and ensuring that the finished work reflects the approved design. The ideal candidate should be proactive rather than reactive, capable of identifying problems before they become major issues, and able to coordinate effectively with designers, contractors, vendors, labourers, clients, and the internal team to deliver excellent work.
