Responsible for preparing and managing inks as per production plans, ensuring quality standards, color consistency, and performance parameters. Provides press-side support, troubleshooting, and controls ink waste to maintain efficiency and meet customer requirements.
1. Ink Management System (IMS):
• To assess Ink Quantity requirements and prepare (blend) the ink for the jobs in advance as per Customers Production Planning and Print Quantity.
- Rework or use Dilute Ink stocks to maintain agreed level of Press Return Inks as per mutually agreed Target.
- Ensure all inks produced meet DIC internal recommendations and also Customer’s requirements including Color consistency, Drying speed, Viscosity, Adhesion, etc.
- Adjustment on press due to printing or setting conditions.
- Monitor and keep under control Ink shade matching Time & material waste on-press.
- Press-side process trouble shooting.
1. Technical Support:
• Provide on-site technical assistance for ink applications.
- Troubleshoot print-related issues and recommend corrective actions. • Conduct ink trials, performance evaluations, and process audits.
1. Customer Interaction:
• Act as the technical interface between the customer and internal teams.
- Train customer operators on IMS usage and ink handling best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with press operators, supervisors, and quality teams.
1. Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain daily reports on ink consumption, returns, and performance. • Document technical issues, resolutions, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide feedback to R&D; and production teams for continuous improvement.
1. Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols in ink handling and storage.
- Comply with environmental and regulatory standards.
