Head Industrial Design

Location: Andheri West, Mumbai

Experience: 8 to12+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Head of Industrial Design to lead the design and development of electrical products, including switches, sockets, accessories, and related products.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Industrial Design team and define product design direction.
- Drive the complete design process from research and ideation to prototyping and production.
- Develop innovative, functional, ergonomic, and customer-focused product concepts.
- Establish consistent design language, CMF, aesthetics, and product identity.
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D;, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Product teams.
- Ensure DFM/DFA, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
- Guide materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and tooling decisions.




- Mentor the design team and drive innovation and design excellence.

Requirements

- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Industrial/Product Design or related field.
- 8–12+ years of relevant Industrial/Product Design experience.
- Experience in electrical products, consumer durables, appliances, or hardware preferred.
- Solid skills in conceptualisation, sketching, visualisation, and product development.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing, prototyping, tooling, DFM/DFA, and ergonomics.
- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing multiple projects.
