Summary Description
nThe Content Designer applies subject matter knowledge and instructional design principles to
ndevelop and revise digital instructional materials and supporting materials. The materials
ncreated range from writing manuscripts to creating videos.

nEssential Job Functions
n• Understand and apply educational research, pedagogy, subject matter expertise, and
ninstructional design principles to create instructional videos.
n• Review product features against guidelines for consistency in curriculum design.
n• Make sure activity design has adequate white space and hierarchy to clearly display
ncontent.
n• Collaborate with Content Producer Lead to plan and execute on project workflow and
nschedules.
n• Work with Content Producer Lead to create consistency in design of the product.
n• Produce high quality work to schedule.
n• Support the discovery and integration of AI tools and technologies to enhance our creative
nprocesses, drive efficiency and optimize workflows
n• Ability to multi-task and meet the needs of recent projects that arise.
n• Other duties as required.

nQualifications
n• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communication, or Design and 2 years
nof Curriculum Development, educational publishing, or instructional design experience; or an
nacceptable combination of education and experience.
nTechnical Skills
n• Classroom teaching experience either online or in-person and knowledge of online learning
nactivities and the education market preferred.
n• Excellent presentation skills, and desire to learn new tools for producing content.
n• Skilled in PowerPoint and specifically animations and templates.
n• Ability to support learning through content design.
n
nCompetencies
n• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated understanding of clean design - hierarchy and
nlayout.
n• Ability to meet tight deadlines and create quality products.
