About Unified AI

Every plant already has the data. It sits in a historian nobody queries, in batch records nobody reads back, and in the heads of three people on the shift. So when a batch runs long or a yield slips, finding out why is an afternoon of pulling trends and asking around, and by then the next batch is already running.

We build AI agents that close that gap for Indian specialty chemical, pharma, and API plants. Process data and process knowledge sit in one system, so DCS and historian streams are read against the plant's own SOPs, batch recipes, and operational history. The agents investigate and act. They aren't another dashboard waiting for someone to ask the right question.

They run on the instrumentation the plant already owns. No new sensors, no rip-and-replace, no capex case anyone has to defend upstairs. That is why we deploy in weeks rather than quarters. Deviation investigations that used to take hours now take about ten minutes, and the cycle time we give back comes out of equipment already sitting on the floor.

Our founders came out of enterprise automation software, and each of us comes from a manufacturing family. This is the industry we come from, not one we pivoted into. The team is early, and the customers are live, which means you work with the founders directly and see what you build reach a plant floor in weeks.

Role Overview

- Own customer implementations end to end, including process capture, platform onboarding, and weekly delivery cadence.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the customer. The founder and delivery lead will step in to unblock you when needed.

- Be the voice of the customer to the rest of the company, helping shape platform improvements and iteration.

What You’ll Own — Process Onboarding
- Lead process discovery with production, process, and instrumentation teams.
- Map tags to activities using P&IDs;, PFDs, and instrument indexes.
- Capture recipes, including setpoints, ramp rates, hold times, acceptance criteria, and tolerance bands.
- Load process models into our platform, then validate them with the plant’s own team.

What You’ll Own — Data and Data Quality
- Acquire data from DCS tag lists, digital batch records, downtime reports, QC sheets, and written specifications.
- Monitor feed health, including dead tags, stopped exports, stale servers, and cleared DCS buffers.
- Resolve data quality exceptions, such as stuck transmitters, mislabelled tags, resetting totalizers, impossible cycle times, and unaccounted idle hours.
- Work every exception back to closure with the plant team.

What You’ll Own — Weekly Cadence and Delivery
- Run weekly customer reviews, including the agenda, minutes, and a numbered action list with owners and dates.
- Maintain a readiness matrix by product and stage, with named plant-side owners.

- Prepare progress and management reviews. Tooling drafts them; you verify every number.
- Send a pre-read of factual questions to the plant before each review.

What You’ll Own — Product Feedback
- Translate plant reality into problem statements engineers can build against.
- Answer the engineering team’s day-to-day process questions.
- Judge what is worth automating.

Qualifications

- BTech or BE in Chemical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience, with at least 2 years hands-on in an operating specialty chemical, pharma, or API plant across production, process, QA/QC, technical services, or operational excellence.
- Ability to read P&IDs; and PFDs independently.
- Robust process literacy: you can spot impossible numbers on a sheet, whether it’s negative pressure, a 40-hour cycle on a 22-hour batch, or a yield that breaks a mass balance.
- Fluent in Hindi and English.
- Based in Bengaluru and genuinely willing to travel up to 2 weeks per month.
- Cross-department follow-through, with a specific example you can talk through.

Strong Pluses

- Experience working with AI or AI agents.
- Gujarati or Marathi language skills.
- Hands-on experience with DCS, SCADA, or historians, such as Yokogawa, Siemens, Honeywell, Emerson, or AVEVA PI.
- Experience serving as the plant-side contact for an external vendor, auditor, or technology partner.
- Experience with multi-product batch operations rather than single-product continuous operations.
- Basic SQL or Python.
- Six Sigma or operational excellence training.
