Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Prepare HVAC system layouts and detailed design drawings for FEED, Proposal and EPC projects.
- Carry out HVAC load calculations using Carrier HAP and assist in equipment selection based on project specifications and design requirements.
- Develop HVAC ventilation systems, ducting layouts, chilled water piping layouts and equipment arrangements.
- Prepare and update HVAC AFD, P&ID;, conceptual and detailed layout drawings.
- Develop HVAC 2D drawings and detailed layouts using AutoCAD/Revit.
- Perform 3D modeling of HVAC and Plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit and, where required, S3D/E3D environments.
- Prepare Revit schedules, material take-offs, drawing annotations, 2D detailing and quantity take-offs.
- Create and modify Revit families for HVAC and Plumbing components as required.
- Carry out model review, clash detection and coordination with other disciplines.
- Identify clashes with Electrical, Architecture, Instrumentation, Firefighting and other services and support effective clash resolution.
- Assist in preparation of HVAC BOQ, equipment schedules and material quantity estimates.
- Assist in preparation of HVAC package RFQ, TBE, PR and vendor document review.
- Review design information, drawings and vendor prints for compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare plumbing layouts, basic calculations and BOQ as required.
- Understand and apply project design basis, specifications, standards and client requirements.
- Maintain drawing quality, accuracy and consistency in accordance with project procedures.




- Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure proper integration of HVAC systems within the overall project design.
- Support preparation and updating of design documents, drawings and deliverables as per project schedules.
- Communicate with site and engineering teams to resolve design and installation-related issues.
- Incorporate comments from clients, engineering teams and site teams into drawings and models.
- Participate in model reviews and technical coordination meetings.

1. Must-Have Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in HVAC drafting and design for industrial, commercial or EPC projects.
- Positive knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation systems and ducting layouts.
- Working knowledge of Carrier HAP for HVAC load calculations.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for HVAC/BIM modeling and drawing preparation.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D HVAC drawings and detailing.
- Exposure to S3D/E3D for HVAC/Plumbing 3D modeling is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, diffusers, grills and other HVAC components.
- Good understanding of HVAC design drawings, layouts, P&IDs; and equipment arrangements.
- Ability to perform MTO/BOQ, schedules and quantity take-offs.
- Knowledge of clash detection and resolution in a BIM/3D environment.
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing design and modeling will be an added advantage.

1. Education

- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant certification/training in HVAC, BIM or Revit will be an added advantage.
