Job Summary:

We are seeking a General Maintenance professional to oversee and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, utilities, and facilities. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor coordination, troubleshooting, and supervision of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee day-to-day general maintenance activities across the institution.

· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, equipment, and other facilities.

· Inspect facilities and equipment to identify faults, maintenance requirements, and potential issues, and ensure timely resolution.

· Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate their day-to-day work.

· Coordinate with vendors and contractors for servicing, repairs, and maintenance-related works.

· Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment and utility systems.

· Maintain maintenance records, service logs, checklists, and technical documentation.

· Ensure proper upkeep, housekeeping, and safe working conditions across assigned facilities.

· Assist in preparing maintenance estimates and planning repair, replacement, and improvement works.

· Ensure the availability and proper utilization of maintenance materials, tools, spare parts, and equipment.

· Attend to breakdowns, complaints, and emergency maintenance requirements.





· Ensure compliance with institutional safety procedures and applicable maintenance standards.

· Prepare maintenance reports and provide necessary updates to the Reporting Head/Management.

· Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.

Desired Candidate Qualification

· Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

· 5–10 years of relevant experience in general maintenance, facility management, or institutional/industrial maintenance.

· Strong practical knowledge of building, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems.

· Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle breakdowns and maintenance issues effectively.

· Experience in supervising maintenance personnel and coordinating with vendors, contractors, and service providers.

· Positive knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, scheduling, and maintenance documentation.

· Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize maintenance requirements.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with basic proficiency in MS Office for maintenance records and reports.

· Knowledge of safety practices and statutory requirements related to facility maintenance will be an added advantage.
