Role Description The Flights Ticketing role at Exciting Tales is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. In this role, the team member will assist customers with searching, selecting, and booking domestic and international flight tickets, ensuring accuracy in routes, fares, and schedules. Daily tasks include managing reservations, handling changes and cancellations, coordinating with airlines and travel partners, and providing clear information on ticketing rules and travel requirements.

The role also involves responding to customer inquiries, resolving ticketing or payment issues, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of airline policies and promotions, and documenting all bookings and communications in internal systems.



Collaboration with colleagues in customer service and travel planning is expected to deliver a seamless end-to-end travel experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle queries calmly and clearly in person, over phone, and via digital channels.
- Candidates should possess basic numeracy and attention-to-detail skills to manage fares, taxes, schedules, and booking details accurately.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using computer-based reservation systems, ticketing platforms, and common office software tools.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and time management skills to handle multiple bookings, changes, and urgent requests efficiently.
- Relevant experience in travel agencies, airlines, or ticketing operations is beneficial; knowledge of domestic and international travel regulations is an advantage.
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required; a degree or certification in travel and tourism, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area with a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Comfort working in a diverse, inclusive environment and engaging respectfully with travelers from different backgrounds and cultures.
