Factory Manager (Wood/Furniture Working)

Department: Factory Operations

Reporting To: Factory Manager / Directors / Head Office

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager (Wood/Furniture Working) who will be responsible for overseeing complete factory operations including production planning, manpower management, material planning, inter-department coordination, financial supervision, and liaison with Head Office. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, and operational control to ensure timely and quality production.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Management Plan, monitor, and control production as per project timelines, drawings, and quality standards.
- Material & Inventory Management Plan raw materials, maintain inventory levels, and coordinate procurement with Head Office.
- Quality Control Ensure quality standards across all stages of manufacturing and minimize rework and production delays.
- Manpower Management Supervise factory workforce, attendance, discipline, productivity, overtime, and labour-related matters.
- Change Management Manage production changes, approvals, documentation, and revised costing.




- Head Office Coordination Maintain regular communication with Directors and Head Office regarding production, materials, requirements, and bottlenecks.
- Logistics & Dispatch Oversee packaging, loading, dispatch, and movement of finished goods.
- Documentation & Reporting Maintain essential factory records and provide regular operational updates to management.

Key Requirements

- 5+ years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, factory operations, or wood-based production.
- Strong practical knowledge of solid wood, plywood/cabinetry construction, paint & polish, upholstery, welding/forging of metals, carving, and stone inlay work.
- Experience managing skilled and semi-skilled factory manpower.
- Good understanding of production planning, material planning, inventory, costing, and quality control.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Candidates with experience in luxury/custom furniture or high-end interior manufacturing will be preferred.
