Company: F5 Events & Services
Location: Bengaluru
Job Type: Full-time | On-site
Experience: 2–4 Years
About the Role
F5 Events & Services is looking for an Event Production & Infrastructure Designer who can translate event requirements into practical, accurate and visually strong production layouts.
This is not primarily a wedding décor design role. The role focuses on designing and planning event infrastructure for concerts, corporate events, exhibitions, festivals, large-format events and other live productions.
You will work closely with production, operations and client servicing teams to determine what goes where, how much space it requires, how the venue should flow and how the proposed setup can actually be executed on ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D event layouts based on venue dimensions, event requirements and available infrastructure.
- Design complete event floor plans covering stages, audience areas, barricading, entry/exit points, FOH, backstage areas, green rooms, technical zones and service areas.
- Plan layouts for concerts, festivals, corporate events, exhibitions, launches, public events and large-scale productions.
- Design and visualise event production infrastructure including stages, trussing, LED structures, roofing, platforms, barricades, seating, branding structures, stalls, partitions and temporary structures.
- Convert client briefs and production requirements into technically feasible event layouts.
- Work with venue measurements, CAD drawings and site dimensions to develop accurate plans.
- Conduct venue recce and site measurements wherever required.
- Develop multiple layout options based on audience capacity, event format, infrastructure requirements and venue limitations.
- Calculate approximate infrastructure quantities and spatial requirements based on approved layouts.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure designs can be practically fabricated, installed and dismantled.
- Modify layouts based on technical, safety, client or venue requirements.
- Maintain organised drawings, layouts, renders and technical documentation for each project.
- Support the sales team with event visualisations, layouts and infrastructure proposals for client pitches.
- Understand the company's rental inventory and incorporate available infrastructure into designs wherever possible.
Software & Technical Skills
Candidates should have working proficiency in:
- AutoCAD – event layouts and technical drawings
- SketchUp / 3ds Max / similar 3D software – event and infrastructure visualisation
- Lumion / Enscape / V-Ray or similar rendering software
- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator for presentations and visualisation
- Excel / Google Sheets for measurements, quantities and infrastructure planning
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in event production design, event infrastructure, exhibition design, technical event design or a related field.
- Strong understanding of event layouts, production infrastructure and spatial planning.
- Ability to read venue plans, measurements and technical drawings.
- Understanding of stages, trussing, barricading, seating layouts, LED structures, FOH and backstage requirements.
- Strong sense of scale, proportion, crowd movement and space utilisation.
- Ability to balance visual design with practical on-ground execution.
- Comfortable conducting site visits and working closely with production crews.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and make quick revisions when event requirements change.
- Strong attention to detail — layouts should be usable by the teams actually executing the event.
Preferred Experience
Candidates who have previously worked with an event production company, event infrastructure/rental company, concert production company, exhibition company or large-format event agency will be strongly preferred.
Experience designing layouts for concerts and high-footfall events will be an added advantage.
What Success Looks Like
Your drawings shouldn't just look good on a screen — the production team should be able to build from them.
A successful designer will create layouts that are visually robust, technically practical, space-efficient and aligned with the infrastructure available for each event.
