Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned, highly skilled, and safety-focused Electrical Incharge / Supervisor with over 10 years of hands-on and supervisory experience in industrial electrical infrastructure, HT/LT power distribution, automation control panels, and industrial machinery maintenance.

In this leadership role, you will take full ownership of our site’s electrical uptime, statutory safety compliance, preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, captive power systems (DG sets/transformers), and team management. You will lead a crew of electricians, lead breakdown root-cause analyses, manage external regulatory liaisons, and ensure all electrical operations run efficiently without project interruptions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industrial Machinery & Workshop Maintenance

- Lead the preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of heavy plant machinery, including:
- Overhead EOT cranes, gantry cranes, and electric hoists (limit switches, festoon systems, long/cross travel drives).
- Hydraulic power packs, industrial air compressors, high-tonnage hydraulic presses, and plate bending/shearing machines.
- Inverter-based welding power sources (MIG, TIG, Submerged Arc, Stud Welders), thermal cutting tables (CNC plasma/oxy-fuel), and shop power feeders.
- Troubleshoot automated drive systems, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), soft starters,



programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and relay-based control logic circuits.

1. Breakdown Management & Root Cause Analysis

- Direct emergency response during electrical breakdowns, systematically diagnosing complex faults down to the component level to minimize operational downtime.
- Conduct root cause failure analyses (RCFA) for recurring electrical failures and implement engineered corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Supervise motor overhauls, insulation resistance (Megger) checks, winding rewinds, bearing replacements, and dynamic load testing.

1. Team Leadership & Contractor Supervision

- Supervise, train, and allocate daily tasks to a team of plant electricians, wiremen, and technicians across shift operations.
- Oversee third-party electrical contractors, civil cable laying, panel fabricators, and specialized testing agencies during expansion or revamp projects.
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, permit-to-work (PTW) protocols, and safe isolation practices for all hot-work and maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial electrical maintenance within heavy engineering, marine fabrication/shipyards, process manufacturing, or structural steel plants.
