1. Role Objective The MEP QA/QC Engineer – Electrical shall be responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality of electrical works at site and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, applicable codes and project quality requirements. The Engineer shall independently carry out inspections, review quality documentation, witness testing activities, identify non-conformities and coordinate with the Contractor/Consultant for corrective action and closure.
2. Key Responsibilities A. Electrical QA/QC Inspection Inspect and monitor the quality of electrical installation works, including: HT/LT Panels and Switchgear Transformers DG Sets Busduct/Busbar Systems Cable Trays and Cable Ladders HT/LT Power and Control Cables Cable Glanding and Termination Conduits and Wiring Lighting and Small Power Earthing and Bonding Lightning Protection Systems Electrical Equipment and Accessories Verify installation against approved IFC/shop drawings, specifications, approved materials and manufacturer's recommendations. Check workmanship, alignment, supports, clearances, cable routing, identification, accessibility and installation quality. Page 2 of 4 B. Drawing & • Specification Review Review and interpret approved: IFC/Shop Drawings Single Line Diagrams (SLD) Electrical Layouts Cable Schedules Equipment Schedules Technical Specifications Approved Material Submittals Verify that site execution is in accordance with the latest approved drawings and specifications. Identify discrepancies and coordinate with the concerned team for resolution. C.
Material Inspection
Inspect incoming electrical materials against approved material submittals, specifications and approved makes. Verify relevant MIRs, MTCs, manufacturer test certificates, type/routine test reports and calibration certificates. Monitor material storage, handling, identification and preservation at site. D. - Test Plan Ensure electrical activities are inspected in accordance with approved ITPs, Method Statements and Checklists.
Coordinate inspection requests with the Contractor/Consultant and verify that required inspections are completed before proceeding with subsequent activities. Maintain proper inspection and test records. E.

• Commissioning Witness and verify applicable electrical testing activities, including: Insulation Resistance (IR) Testing Continuity Testing Earth Resistance Testing Cable Testing Transformer Testing Panel/Switchgear Testing Breaker Testing Relay/Protection Testing CT/PT Testing Busduct Testing DG Testing Functional Testing Page 3 of 4 Review test results against approved procedures and project requirements. Verify that testing instruments have valid calibration certificates. F. Earthing &
- Lightning Protection Inspect earthing systems, earth pits, earth electrodes, earth strips, equipment earthing and bonding connections. Inspect lightning protection systems, including air terminals, down conductors, test links and earth connections. Witness earth resistance and continuity testing and verify compliance with project requirements. G. NCR &
- Quality Observation Identify non-conforming work, defective workmanship and deviations from approved requirements. Raise NCRs/Quality Observations where applicable. Review proposed corrective actions and verify rectification at site. Maintain NCR/observation tracking and ensure timely closure. Identify recurring quality issues and recommend corrective measures. H. Testing, Pre-Commissioning &
- Commissioning Monitor electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Verify system readiness before testing. Witness functional and performance testing as required. Review test and commissioning records and monitor closure of deficiencies identified during testing. I.

Coordination
Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, Main Contractor, Electrical Contractor, Subcontractors and Project Team on electrical quality-related matters. Coordinate with other MEP disciplines and civil teams to resolve electrical interface issues. Participate in quality meetings, inspections, technical discussions and audits.
- Required Experience The candidate shall have 5–7 years of relevant experience in Electrical QA/QC, preferably in building construction, commercial buildings, hospitals, industrial projects or large infrastructure projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical installation inspection, material inspection, drawing review, ITP implementation, testing & commissioning, NCR management and quality documentation. 4.
Required Competencies
The candidate should demonstrate: Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation works. Ability to independently conduct site inspections. Ability to identify technical and workmanship deficiencies. Good understanding of electrical testing and commissioning. Ability to interpret SLDs, layouts and shop drawings. Knowledge of QA/QC documentation and inspection procedures. Experience in NCR identification and closure. Good coordination and communication skills. Ability to work independently and interact effectively with contractors and consultants. The proposed resource shall be capable of independently managing day-to-day Electrical QA/QC inspection and documentation activities at site, with limited supervision.
The resource is expected to identify quality risks proactively, ensure compliance with approved requirements, provide technically sound inspection feedback and follow through on corrective actions until closure
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
