ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Electrical CAD Drafter to produce permit-ready electrical drawing packages for U.S. EV charging infrastructure projects.

You’ll prepare site plans, electrical one-line and riser diagrams, panel configurations, breaker sizes, utility-service information, CT cabinets, meters, transformers, and related permit documentation.

This is a drawing-production role — not permit administration or submission management. You must be able to take incomplete client information, determine what can be resolved from the available drawings and specifications, identify what is missing, and produce a clean, accurate permit set.

This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in India, working U.S. business hours.

IMPORTANT: Hands-on experience producing electrical permit drawings is required. We are looking for someone who can independently prepare and revise permit-ready electrical drawing sets, not someone whose experience is limited to reviewing drawings prepared by others.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Prepare permit-ready electrical site plans for EV charging projects
- Develop electrical one-line and riser diagrams
- Show utility-service information, transformers, CT cabinets, meters, panels, and disconnects
- Prepare panel configurations, breaker sizes, and equipment ratings
- Produce complete drawing packages from existing drawings, client sketches, equipment specifications, and project information
- Identify missing or conflicting information and clearly flag required clarifications
- Incorporate client, utility, and permitting-authority comments into revisions
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate drawing records




- Produce submission-ready PDF drawing sets
- Work independently while maintaining strong accuracy and turnaround times

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Hands-on experience producing electrical permit or construction drawings
- Strong AutoCAD experience
- Experience preparing electrical site plans and one-line or riser diagrams
- Understanding of electrical systems and drafting conventions
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, equipment specifications, and technical plans
- Familiarity with panels, breakers, disconnects, meters, transformers, and related electrical equipment
- Experience revising drawing sets based on redlines, utility comments, or permitting feedback
- Strong PDF editing and markup skills
- Strong written English and technical documentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and drawing accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple active revisions
- Availability to work U.S. business hours

NICE TO HAVE

- EV charging / EVSE infrastructure experience
- Experience preparing utility-application or permit-submittal drawing packages
- Knowledge of electrical service layouts and CT cabinets
- Revit experience
- Bluebeam experience
- Experience with PDF editing and markup tools
- Experience as a Permit Drawing Specialist or EV Infrastructure Designer
