1. Position Summary

Jindal Projects and Engineers is looking for a young, technically motivated and hardworking Diploma Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering / Projects team. The position is primarily suitable for 2026 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering pass-outs who are looking to start their career in a professional engineering and project environment.

Candidates having 1–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, project execution, maintenance or related fields will be considered an added advantage.

The selected candidate will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and will receive practical exposure to engineering, project execution, fabrication, inspection, documentation and site activities.

1. Key Responsibilities

A. Engineering & Technical Support
- Assist senior engineers in day-to-day mechanical engineering activities.
- Understand and follow engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Assist in basic mechanical calculations and technical documentation.
- Support engineers in resolving routine technical issues.
- Develop practical knowledge of mechanical equipment, systems and engineering processes.

B. Drawing & Documentation
- Read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings.
- Assist in preparing and updating drawings and technical documents.
- Maintain records of drawings, specifications, inspection reports and other project documents.
- Assist in preparing daily and weekly technical/project reports.

C. Project & Site Activities
- Assist project engineers in day-to-day project execution activities.
- Coordinate with site, fabrication, production, procurement and other departments.
- Monitor assigned activities and report progress to senior engineers.
- Participate in site inspections and measurements as required.
- Assist in installation, fabrication,



assembly and commissioning-related activities where applicable.
- Support troubleshooting of basic mechanical issues.

D. Quality & Inspection
- Assist in inspection of materials, components and fabricated items.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Assist in maintaining quality checklists and inspection records.
- Report deviations, defects or quality issues to the concerned senior engineer.

E. Safety
- Follow all company safety rules, procedures and site safety requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain secure working practices during site and project activities.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to the concerned authority.

F. Coordination & Teamwork
- Coordinate effectively with senior engineers, supervisors, technicians and other departments.
- Maintain good communication with project and site teams.
- Assist in ensuring timely completion of assigned activities.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and maintain professional discipline.

1. Educational Qualification

Essential:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- 2026 pass-outs are preferred.

Preferred:

- Candidates with relevant industrial training or internship experience.
- Candidates having basic knowledge of AutoCAD or mechanical design software.

1. Experience

- Freshers – 2026 pass-outs are encouraged to apply.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, EPC, construction, maintenance or project-based industries will be preferred.
- Candidates with relevant apprenticeship / industrial training experience may also be considered.

1. Technical Skills

- Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment,



tools and processes.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Understanding of measurements, tolerances and basic engineering practices.
