Responsibilities Purpose of the Role The role is responsible for executing Rockwell and Siemens PLC-related activities from the IAP VPE CARE team to Rest of World. Key responsibilities include creation of standards in Rockwell, validation & troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, and related controls programs.

Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with corporate counterparts to understand technical requirements and deliver accurate outputs within agreed timelines. Positive command in English communication B28 with necessary technical knowledge is required.
Demonstrate sound understanding of Allen-Bradley industrial automation components and Logix5000 platforms, including controllers, I/O modules,
communication modules, and HMI terminals.
Should be able to
Design and troubleshoot advanced PLC program (meet level 2 and 3 requirements and in addition able to retrieve and set GSV/SSV instructions,
Generate/remove safety signatures lock/unlock safety PLC, map safety tags,
Configure Logix5000 message, monitor and modify controller properties, enable time synchronization,
Monitor and configure standard and safety scan time, install EDS/AOP, compare files, export/import to/from l5k/l5x,
Create add-on instructions (AOIs), remove udt/tags/routines/AOI/programs, update program comments.
Update controller/devices firmware, create tags, create data types, configure controller to produce/consume data, analyse and troubleshoot a system using a trend chart
Should be able to
design and troubleshoot advanced HMI applications using FactoryTalk View ME and Rockwell FactoryTalk Optix
develop FactoryTalk Optix HMI applications, including reusable UI components, tags, alarms, trends, recipes, user security, communications, and deployment
create global objects and global graphic displays, and create objects with animation
create tags with parameters, modify global connections, and test applications/displays
create communications configurations and create/manage runtime files
use application manager tools to upload/download runtime files and create backups.
Handson experience in Allen-Bradley industrial automation (Compact Logix, Control Logix, Guard Logix series PLCs) and Rockwell software (RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000 (Logix Designer), FactoryTalk View Studio, FactoryTalk Linx, and FactoryTalk Optix. Develop and improvise the existing PLC, HMI & related logics and support for the virtual commissioning activities.
Should be able to develop the Standards as like Siemens in Rockwell by using the various standards
Should be able to develop the documentation related to the standards & Can train the plant / supplier team on the standards
Knowledge in the IEC 61131 standard is preferable
Knowledge in Automotive industry and related projects / equipment is must. Body shop (BIW / Weld shop) related knowledge is desirable.
Knowledge in handling verify the E plan drawings, control panel circuits, power wirings - is added advantage
Certified training from Rockwell training centre is desirable
Qualifications Diploma / Engineering Graduate
Essential Skills BIW shop Automotive industry knowledge - MUST.
Expertise in Rockwell PLC Software's - RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000 (Logix Designer), FactoryTalkViewStudio, FactoryTalk Linx. & Siemens Tia Portal
Should be worked as a PLC Software engineer / specialist on the OEM, Line builder or service providers
Valuable in communication skills and English language skills.
