Job Summary

- Job Title: Consultant - Program cum MIS Coordinator

- Number of positions: 1

- Location: Assam

- Duration: 10 months (September 2026 to June 2027)

- Type: Consultant (Deliverable-based)

- Qualification: Postgraduate degree/diploma in Rural Development, Social Work, Development Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

Experience Required

- Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in managing and coordinating field-based development programs, preferably in livelihoods, women s economic empowerment, or skill development.

- Familiarity with procurement procedures, vendor coordination, and documentation requirements in alignment with CSR donor guidelines, data visualization, Excel-based dashboards, and digital monitoring tools will be an advantage

- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-stakeholder teams, including program leads, field coordinators, and finance/operations teams

- Understanding of National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM)/ State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs), rural development programs and community-based institutions such as SHGs, FPOs, or collectives is desirable.

- Prior exposure to donor-funded projects and knowledge of reporting protocols will be considered a plus.

About the Project

The programs aim to identify and support women & youth from rural and tribal communities across the Northeast, helping them become successful micro-entrepreneurs. The program is designed to improve socio-economic resilience by enabling women s access to sustainable, community-based livelihood opportunities. Structured as a grassroots enterprise development initiative, the program will focus on three key sectors: bamboo-based products in Tripura, banana and pineapple fibre textiles in Meghalaya, and community-led eco-tourism in Assam and Sikkim. Participants will receive business orientation, skills training, and ongoing coaching, tailored to their context. Over a period of 18 months, the program will offer comprehensive support including capacity building, access to tools and services, market linkages, and exposure opportunities. This approach is designed not only to drive income generation but also to support the Government s vision of gender-equitable development, climate resilience, and inclusive economic growth in the Northeast.

The Role

The Program cum MIS coordinator will play a pivotal role in assisting the Programme manager in day-to-day project operations. The role involves coordinating activities across four states, supporting field implementation, ensuring timely data flow, and maintaining communication between teams, He will be responsible for managing program data, maintaining MIS systems, and supporting backend coordination across interventions. The role ensures timely reporting, data quality,



and alignment of field-level implementation with program objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Month 1: Project Mobilization

- Prepare the detailed monthly implementation plan for all four states.

- Establish coordination mechanisms with state teams, partners, and thematic leads.

- Update the project MIS with baseline information.

- Prepare the monthly progress report and implementation tracker.

- Coordinate all planned trainings and field activities.

- Conduct one project coordination meeting and circulate Minutes of Meeting (MoM).

Month 2: Field Implementation Support

- Track implementation progress against the Annual Work Plan.

- Ensure timely submission of field reports from all states.

- Update beneficiary database and MIS.

- Coordinate one training/workshop and submit documentation.

- Compile one success story and project photographs.

- Submit Monthly Progress Report (MPR) and MIS Dashboard.

Month 3: Quarterly Review Preparation

- Consolidate implementation progress for Quarter 1.

- Validate project data received from field teams.

- Prepare Quarterly Progress Report.

- Coordinate quarterly review meeting.

- Update project dashboards and performance indicators.

- Submit donor reporting inputs.

Month 4: Strengthening Field Operations

- Monitor implementation gaps and coordinate corrective actions.

- Support logistics for trainings and exposure visits.

- Update MIS and beneficiary records.

- Prepare monthly activity report.

Month 5: Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate convergence meetings with Government Departments, SRLMs, NGOs, and partners.

- Monitor partner deliverables.

- Update action tracker.
