About GMR Varalakshmi Foundation

GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) is the corporate social responsibility arm of the GMR Group, working in the areas of education, health, hygiene & sanitation, empowerment & livelihoods, and community development. GMRVCEL-Delhi (GMR Centre for Empowerment & Livelihoods), operating under Delhi International Airport Limited's CSR mandate, is an NSDC 5-Star accredited, residential vocational training centre located near IGI Airport, New Delhi, offering a range of industry-aligned vocational courses with a strong track record of trainee placement.

Position Summary The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for generating awareness about GMRVCEL-Delhi's vocational training courses, mobilizing eligible candidates from local communities for enrolment, and supporting them through to successful training completion and placement, working closely with the centre's training and placement teams throughout.

Note: This is a 100% field-based role. It involves extensive travel to various locations within and outside Delhi, and is not a desk-based position.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Mobilization & Outreach

- Identify and mobilize eligible candidates from target communities for enrolment into GMRVCEL-Delhi's vocational training courses
- Conduct community meetings, door-to-door visits, and awareness sessions to build interest in available courses.
- Travel extensively to various locations within Delhi/NCR, and outstation as required, to support mobilization drives.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Build and maintain working relationships with NGOs, government schools, ITIs,



and other local institutions to identify and refer potential candidates
- Coordinate with community-based organizations, local representatives, and other partners to support outreach efforts
- Represent GMRVCEL-Delhi at outreach camps, career fairs, and community events, as required

Candidate Support, Training & Placement

- Guide candidates through registration, counselling, and enrolment into appropriate courses
- Conduct regular follow-up with enrolled trainees to minimize drop-outs and support completion of training
- Coordinate with the centre's training and placement teams to support successful placement of trained candidates
- Undertake post-placement follow-up, as required, to track candidate retention

Planning, Tracking & Reporting

- Prepare and submit weekly mobilization plans with clear, measurable targets
- Execute field activities in line with the submitted weekly plan, and report progress against it
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date MIS/tracking records of candidates mobilized, enrolled, trained, and placed
- Share regular tracking and progress updates with the reporting manager
- Support documentation required for donor and government compliance reporting, as applicable





Required Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum 12th pass; Graduate in any discipline preferred (background in Social Work / Rural Development an added advantage)
- Minimum 2 year of experience in community mobilization, field outreach, or a similar role is preferred, ideally in the CSR/NGO/skill development sector; candidates with strong local community networks will also be considered
- Computer and tech-savvy: working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word, and comfortable with smartphone-based data entry and reporting
- Comfortable using everyday digital tools (e.g., WhatsApp, Google Forms/Sheets) for coordination and tracking
- Fluent in Hindi; working knowledge of English preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively within Delhi/NCR and to outstation locations, as required
- A valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle would be an advantage.

- Basic reporting, documentation, and MIS skills
- Adaptability to work across varied field conditions and locations
