Role Description This is a full time, on-site Collections Manager role based in Uttar Pradesh, India.
The Collections
Manager will oversee the end-to-end collections process for vehicle finance accounts, including monitoring overdue portfolios, prioritizing accounts, and implementing collection strategies to reduce delinquency and bad debt. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising field and tele-calling teams, coordinating with branches and dealers, reviewing account status, and ensuring timely follow-up using both digital tools and in-person visits where appropriate. The role involves negotiating repayment plans with customers, handling escalations,
and ensuring all collection activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
The Collections
Manager will also prepare regular performance reports, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance recovery rates and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong collections management, credit control, and recovery process skills.
- Candidates should possess portfolio analysis, data interpretation, and reporting skills to monitor and improve collection performance.
- Candidates should possess team leadership, stakeholder coordination, and conflict resolution skills.
- Candidates should possess customer communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of NBFC operations, vehicle finance products, and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Relevant experience in collections or credit operations in financial services or vehicle finance is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field is desirable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools, along with comfort working with collection and CRM systems, is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site across locations in Uttar Pradesh, with willingness for field visits as required.
