Key Responsibilities

- Operate manual lathe machines for turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, drilling, and other machining operations.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.

- Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and work-holding devices based on the job requirement.

- Set and adjust machine parameters such as speed, feed, and depth of cut.

- Perform job setting and ensure proper alignment and clamping of components.

- Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments.

- Ensure components are produced within specified dimensions and tolerances.

- Conduct in-process inspection and inform the supervisor/quality team about any abnormalities.

- Maintain proper surface finish and dimensional accuracy as per drawing requirements.

- Handle different materials such as MS, EN series, SS, and other engineering materials as required.

- Minimize material wastage, tool consumption, rejection, and rework.

- Maintain the machine and work area in clean and safe condition.

- Perform basic machine maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning,



and identifying machine abnormalities.

- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, 5S, and housekeeping standards.

- Complete production records, inspection records, and other required documentation.

- Support production targets and complete jobs within the planned time.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments whenever required.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of manual lathe machine operations.

- Ability to read engineering drawings.

- Knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.

- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.

- Understanding of dimensions and tolerances.

- Basic knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.

- Ability to identify machining defects and take corrective action.

- Positive attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
