The Civil Engineering Intern will support the Engineering and Projects team in managing plant infrastructure, civil maintenance activities, facility expansion projects, contractor coordination, utility infrastructure, and compliance with industrial safety standards.
The role provides hands-on exposure to industrial construction, factory infrastructure development, project management, vendor coordination, maintenance planning, and workplace safety within a food manufacturing setting
This position is ideal for a candidate seeking practical exposure to the civil engineering aspects of manufacturing facilities.
Minimum Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience
- Minimum 6 months of practical experience through:
- Internship
- Apprenticeship
- Site Engineer assignment
- Construction supervision
- Industrial maintenance projects
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Maintenance Support
- Assist in monitoring buildings, roads, drainage systems, storage areas, and factory infrastructure.
- Support identification and resolution of civil maintenance issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of plant facilities.
Project Coordination
- Support execution of:
- Factory expansion projects
- Renovation projects
- Utility infrastructure projects
- Office refurbishment works
- Civil construction activities
Site Supervision
- Supervise civil work activities executed by contractors.
- Ensure work quality complies with approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify measurements for contractor billing.
- Maintain daily site progress reports.
Drawing & Documentation
- Assist in preparation and review of:
- Layout drawings
- BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
- Site measurements
- Work permits
- Project documentation
- Maintain records of completed projects and maintenance activities.
Assist the Engineering team in monitoring:
- Water supply systems
- STP/ETP infrastructure
- Drainage systems
- Roofing systems
- Factory roads
- Utility buildings
- Warehouses
