About the Role

SRFC is looking to appoint an experienced and highly driven Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to lead the organisation's digital transformation journey and build the next generation of its digital business.

The ideal candidate will have 10–15+ years of experience in digital transformation, financial services, lending, fintech, banking, digital sourcing, customer acquisition, or technology-led business growth.

This is a strategic leadership role for an individual who can understand both business and technology and translate emerging technologies into practical, scalable business solutions.

The CDO will be responsible for developing and executing SRFC's digital strategy, strengthening digital sourcing capabilities, improving customer acquisition journeys, and identifying technology-led opportunities that can significantly enhance business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Transformation Strategy

- Develop and drive SRFC's overall digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to digitise and optimise business processes across the organisation.
- Establish a scalable digital operating model aligned with SRFC's business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their practical application within financial services.
- Drive a culture of innovation, digital adoption, and data-driven decision-making.

2. Digital Sourcing & Customer Acquisition

- Build and scale digital sourcing capabilities for loan and financial-service products.
- Develop strategies to increase digital customer acquisition, lead generation, conversion, and retention.
- Identify new digital channels, partnerships, ecosystems, and distribution models.
- Improve customer journeys through technology, automation, analytics, and personalised engagement.
- Leverage digital platforms to improve sourcing efficiency and reduce customer acquisition costs.

3. Technology-Led Business Growth

- Identify and implement technology-led opportunities for business growth and revenue enhancement.
- Work closely with business teams to understand existing challenges and convert them into scalable digital solutions.
- Evaluate opportunities around APIs, AI/ML, analytics, automation, decision engines, digital journeys, and platform-based models.
- Develop digital products and capabilities that can create competitive differentiation for SRFC.

4. Digital Lending & Financial Services Technology





- Develop a strong understanding of the digital lending lifecycle, including customer acquisition, onboarding, KYC, credit assessment, underwriting, disbursement, collections, and customer servicing.
- Identify opportunities to improve the lending journey through technology and automation.
- Work with technology teams and external partners to build robust, secure, scalable, and customer-centric digital platforms.
- Ensure digital initiatives remain aligned with applicable regulatory, risk, security, and compliance requirements.

5. Technology & Business Leadership

- Act as the bridge between business leadership, technology teams, product teams, and external technology partners.
- Define business requirements and ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Provide strategic direction to product and technology teams.
- Challenge existing technology and operating models and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build and manage relationships with fintechs, technology providers, digital platforms, and strategic partners.

6. Data, Analytics & AI

- Establish a data-driven approach to sourcing, customer engagement, credit, operations, and business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to use AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and automation across the organisation.
- Develop capabilities for customer segmentation, propensity modelling, lead scoring, cross-selling, and personalised customer journeys.
- Ensure digital initiatives are supported by appropriate data governance and security practices.

7. Execution & Transformation Governance

- Convert the digital strategy into a clear execution roadmap with priorities, milestones, budgets, and measurable KPIs.
- Lead multiple digital transformation initiatives simultaneously.
- Monitor progress, identify execution challenges, and drive timely resolution.
- Establish governance mechanisms to measure ROI and business impact of digital initiatives.
- Ensure successful adoption of current digital processes and platforms across the organisation.

Ideal Candidate Profile The candidate should ideally have:

- 10–15+ years of relevant experience, preferably in banking, NBFC, lending, fintech, financial services, digital platforms, or technology-led businesses.




- Proven experience in digital transformation and digital business strategy.
- Strong understanding of digital sourcing and customer acquisition.
- Experience in building or scaling digital lending / financial-services platforms will be highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of technology architecture, APIs, cloud, data, AI/ML, automation, and digital product development.
- Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to take a digital strategy from concept to execution and scale.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to connect technology investments with measurable business outcomes.
- Experience managing technology partners, fintechs, vendors, and strategic alliances.
- Strong understanding of information security, data privacy, risk, and regulatory considerations in financial services.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Location & Travel Primary Location: Mumbai The candidate will be based in Mumbai and will be required to visit SRFC's Head Office once, twice, or more times every month, depending on business requirements, strategic initiatives, and meetings.
