Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Camunda Developer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on expertise in Java/Spring Boot and workflow automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable business process management (BPM) applications using the Camunda platform (Camunda 7/Camunda 8). You will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into efficient process models.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Design, model, and implement automated business processes and decisions using BPMN 2.0 and DMN standards with Camunda Modeler.
- Develop enterprise-grade microservices and RESTful web services using Java and Spring Boot integrated with the Camunda Process Engine.
- Implement custom Java Delegates, External Task Workers, process listeners, and execution listeners.
- Build complex workflow logic, sub-processes, event handlers, gateways, and timer events.
- Integrate Camunda process engine with external applications, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), databases, and third-party APIs.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize process execution, task performance, and instance failures via Camunda Cockpit, Tasklist, and Admin interfaces.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and write automated tests (JUnit, Camunda BPM Assert) for workflow logic.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and maintain clear technical documentation.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Core Experience: 5 to 7 years of overall software development experience with at least 4 years focused on Camunda BPM.
- Camunda Expertise: Hands-on experience with Camunda Engine (Camunda 7 or Zeebe/Camunda 8), BPMN 2.0, DMN, Camunda Modeler, Cockpit, and Tasklist.
- Backend Technologies: Core Java (Java 8+ or 17+), Spring Boot,



Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and RESTful API development.
- Database & Messaging: Good knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and asynchronous messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Architecture: Microservices architecture, design patterns, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Basic experience with Docker, Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions).
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Familiarity with Camunda 8 migration / Zeebe engine architecture.
- Experience with scripting languages like Groovy or JavaScript within process models.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (Angular, React) for customizing Camunda user forms.

Education:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
