Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to support engineering, surveying, and land development projects through the creation of accurate technical drawings, mapping deliverables, and geospatial models. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in AutoCAD, LiDAR technology, surveying data processing, and geospatial analysis to develop exact and innovative designs that contribute to successful project execution.

- Prepare, modify, and maintain detailed engineering drawings, plans, maps, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and related CAD software.
- Process and interpret LiDAR point cloud data, aerial survey data, and other geospatial datasets to generate accurate mapping deliverables.
- Develop topographic maps, digital terrain models (DTMs), contour plans, and site development drawings.
- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, planners,



and project managers to ensure design accuracy and project compliance.
- Convert field survey data into CAD drawings and geospatial models.
- Assist in land development, transportation, infrastructure, and utility projects by preparing technical drawings and layouts.
- Perform quality checks on drawings and survey data to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, Drafting, Geography, GIS, or related discipline.
- 5- 8 years of experience in CAD drafting, surveying, LiDAR processing, or geospatial data management.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent drafting software.
