We are looking for a creative Jewellery CAD Designer who knows Matrix 9 (or higher) and Rhino well. The candidate should be able to convert customer ideas into ready-to-make 3D designs for different types of jewellery, with correct metal weight and stone size.
Roles and Responsibilities
- 3D CAD Modeling: Develop high-precision 3D CAD models for core jewellery categories including rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bangles, and bracelets using Matrix 9+ or Rhino.
- Design Optimization: Ensure proper technical standards for metal thickness, casting allowances, stone settings (prong, bezel, pave, etc.), and structural integrity.
- Revisions & Renderings: Modify existing 3D files based on client feedback and generate realistic 3D rendered images/views for approvals.
- Production Handover: Prepare accurate,
error-free STL/3D files ready for CAM 3D printing and manufacturing workflows.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the production and manufacturing teams to address any technical or execution constraints.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Advanced working experience with Matrix 9+ and/or Rhino CAD (Matrix Gold experience is a plus).
- Category Knowledge: Solid portfolio demonstrating designs in basic and fine jewellery categories (Rings, Earrings, Pendants, Necklaces).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes, stone sizes, setting styles, and metal shrinkage parameters.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent sense of proportion, aesthetics, and technical accuracy.
