Test Automation Engineer (f/m/x)

Position Within the Organization

This role is part of the new Test Automation Team based in Bangalore. The team owns the company's test automation framework and expands automated test coverage across our lottery platform products. The team works hybrid from the Bangalore office, with regular overlap hours with the product teams in Europe (CET). We are looking for seniors with a solid automation core combined with hands-on CI/CD ability. First team members start November 2026.

Tasks and Responsibilities

- Test Automation Development: Design and build automated tests for complex product scenarios.
- Framework Development: Develop and maintain framework components and shared libraries.
- Knowledge Transfer: Participate actively in the knowledge transfer and become a go-to person for parts of the framework.
- CI/CD Ownership: Keep the test suites running in CI/CD: adjust pipelines, configure jobs and secrets, resolve environment issues independently.
- Code Review & Coaching:



Review test code of engineers and coach them on framework usage.
- Defect Analysis: Analyse failures, separate product defects from test instability and drive suite stability.

Your Profile
- Professional Experience: 2+ years in test automation with clear ownership of complex suites or framework components.
- Technical Expertise: TypeScript on a professional level. Playwright or comparable modern UI/API automation tooling. BDD (Gherkin/Cucumber style) test design.
- DevOps Ability: Hands-on CI/CD: able to adjust a pipeline, configure a build job, manage secrets and test environment configuration. Experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- Quality Practice: Solid code review practice and test data management.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and spoken English.
- Additional Assets: Lottery, gaming or other regulated-industry background. Docker or comparable containerisation experience. Performance or API contract testing.
