AutoCAD /Draughtsman

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draughtsman to prepare detailed engineering layouts and fabrication drawings for our machinery and products. The candidate will work closely with the design and production teams to translate concepts and specifications into accurate, manufacturable drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings and detailed fabrication drawings of machinery, equipment, and components sold/manufactured by the company .
- Create 2D layouts and detail drawings from design inputs, sketches, or 3D models
- Prepare drawings for pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, structural items, or other equipment (as applicable to product line)
- Revise and update drawings based on client/internal feedback and review comments
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Off (MTO), and part lists as needed
- Coordinate with fabrication/shop floor teams to resolve manufacturing or drawing related issues
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant design codes and standards (ASME, API, IS, etc., as applicable)
- Maintain drawing revision control and documentation




- Support vendor drawing review and approval cycles, where required

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical (2D drafting); knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, or ZWCAD is a plus
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, GD&T;, dimensioning, and tolerancing
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and convert them into accurate layouts
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and shop floor practices

Qualifications
- Bachelor /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or ITI (Mechanical Draughtsman) with relevant industry experience
- 2–8 years of experience as a Draughtsman/Draftsman in a mechanical/fabrication/process equipment environmentheat exch
- Valuable to Have Experience with pressure vessel/anger design software (e.g., PV-Elite)
- Exposure to piping isometrics, layouts, or nozzle orientation drawings
