Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and academically oriented Assistant Professor of Radiology/Radiodiagnosis to join our medical college/hospital. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality diagnostic radiology services, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, mentoring residents and actively participating in research and academic activities.

Role & responsibilities

- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging investigations including X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT and MRI as per expertise.
- Provide accurate and timely radiology reports.
- Participate in routine as well as emergency radiology services.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, case discussions, seminars and practical teaching sessions.
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and residents.
- Participate in academic activities such as journal clubs, CME programs, conferences and departmental meetings.
- Assist in guiding postgraduate residents in clinical and research activities.
- Participate in research projects and contribute to publications and presentations.
- Maintain proper clinical and academic documentation.




- Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals for effective patient care.
- Participate in departmental quality-improvement and audit activities.
- Follow institutional protocols and applicable regulatory and ethical standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- Good clinical and diagnostic radiology skills.
- Strong interest in teaching and academics.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Research-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
- Experience/expertise in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray or specialized radiology services will be an advantage.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- MD/DNB in Radiology/Radiodiagnosis from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant teaching/clinical experience.
- Minimum 2 research publications in reputed/indexed journals.
- Candidates must fulfill applicable NMC/University/Institutional eligibility criteria for the position of Assistant Professor.
