Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Manager – Production with strong experience in Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing and bulk production operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to high-volume manufacturing, IATF 16949 quality systems, production planning, process optimization, manpower management, and implementation of modern manufacturing techniques.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring secure, efficient, and consistent production while achieving SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Productivity) targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Lithium-Ion Battery production operations and ensure achievement of production targets.
- Handle bulk/high-volume production with focus on productivity, quality, and delivery.
- Plan and monitor production as per customer demand, production plans, and capacity.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, PFMEA and process parameters.
- Implement and maintain manufacturing practices aligned with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Poka-Yoke, SMED and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve OEE, cycle time, line balancing, yield and machine utilization.
- Implement updated and advanced production techniques, automation and process improvements wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance,



Engineering, PPC, Stores and Process Development teams for smooth production.
- Monitor process deviations, downtime, rejection, rework and material wastage and take corrective actions.
- Lead RCA, CAPA and problem-solving activities for recurring production and process issues.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment, skill utilization and operator training.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, safety procedures and battery manufacturing safety requirements.
- Support new product introduction, process trials, line commissioning and production ramp-up.
- Maintain proper production documentation and ensure traceability of production batches.
- Participate in internal/customer audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, process discipline and operational excellence.

Required Technical Knowledge The candidate should have working knowledge of:
- Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing processes
- High-volume / bulk production operations
- Production planning and line management
- IATF 16949
- PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, WI and Process Flow
- SPC, MSA and basic quality tools
- 7 QC Tools and 8D problem solving
- Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen
- OEE, Takt Time, Cycle Time and Line Balancing
- TPM and preventive maintenance coordination
- Poka-Yoke / mistake-proofing




- Automation and modern manufacturing technologies
- Root Cause Analysis and CAPA
- ERP/MES-based production monitoring will be an advantage

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in Lithium-Ion Battery / EV Battery / Battery Pack / Cell manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in bulk or mass production environments.
- Exposure to automated or semi-automated production lines.
- Experience working in an IATF-certified automotive or EV manufacturing environment.
- Experience in production ramp-up, capacity enhancement and process optimization will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate An experienced production professional who can manage high-volume Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturing, lead shop-floor teams, understand IATF 16949 requirements, and implement modern manufacturing techniques to improve productivity, quality and cost. Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
