Assistant Manager/ Senior Executive - Import Pricing

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experiencedSenior Executive - Import Pricing to join our Pricing team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in import pricing within the freight forwarding industry and possess robust knowledge of ocean and air import freight, carrier negotiations, and quotation management.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle pricing and procurement for Ocean Import and Air Import shipments.
- Obtain competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
- Prepare and submit accurate quotations within the defined turnaround time.
- Negotiate rates with carriers, NVOCCs, and service providers to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and overseas offices for pricing requirements.
- Maintain and update tariff databases, contracts, and rate sheets.
- Analyze market trends, carrier pricing, and competitive freight rates.
- Support tender submissions and RFQ requirements.
- Ensure timely follow-up on quotations and conversion opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and vendors.
- Assist management with pricing reports, rate analysis, and profitability reviews.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Ocean Import and Air Import Freight Forwarding.




- Good understanding of INCOTERMS, international trade, and freight costing.
- Experience in handling pricing requests from customers, agents, and sales teams.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and freight forwarding ERP systems.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in Import Pricing within a Freight Forwarding company.
- Well-connected with shipping lines, airlines, and co-loaders.
- Ability to independently manage pricing activities and support business growth.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
