Job Summary

Technical Presales & Solution Design.

Responsibilities

- Understand customer business and technical requirements through discussions, workshops and assessments.

- Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions covering Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Backup and Disaster Recovery.

- Prepare High Level Design (HLD), Bill of Materials (BoM), solution architecture documents and technical proposals.

- Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses and technical compliance.

- Conduct solution presentations, product demonstrations and technical workshops for customers.

- In addition to providing presales support, the Solution Architect will play a key role in technical business development by conducting customer discovery workshops, identifying infrastructure transformation opportunities and driving solution-led engagements that contribute to business growth.

- Recommend modernization and optimization strategies for customer datacenter environments.

Sales & Customer Engagement

- Partner with Enterprise Sales teams to identify, qualify and develop business opportunities.

- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions and solution positioning.

- Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle until project closure.

- Work closely with OEMs and distributors for solution validation, sizing, pricing support and technical approvals.

- Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs), customer evaluations and technical demonstrations.

Technology Expertise

- The candidate should possess strong working knowledge of:

- Enterprise Servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco UCS)

- SAN, NAS and Unified Storage Solutions





- Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (Nutanix, VMware vSAN)

- VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and Virtualization Technologies

- Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.)

- Hybrid Cloud and Private Cloud concepts

- Basic Datacenter Networking concepts including VLANs, FC Switching and IP Networking

- Infrastructure sizing, capacity planning and performance optimization

SI Environment Responsibilities

- Handle multiple customer opportunities simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines.

- Coordinate with OEMs, distributors and internal teams to ensure timely solution delivery.

- Support implementation teams during project handover whenever required.

- Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, new technologies and OEM product portfolios.

- Contribute towards technical enablement sessions for internal sales teams.

Requirements

Experience

- 510 years of experience in Datacenter Presales, Solution Architecture or Enterprise Infrastructure Consulting.

- Experience working with a System Integrator (SI), OEM or Value-Added Reseller (VAR) is preferred.

- Proven experience in designing enterprise server and storage solutions for medium and large customers.

Technical Skills





- Strong understanding of Server, Storage and Virtualization technologies.

- Experience in preparing solution architectures, sizing documents and technical proposals.

- Good knowledge of enterprise infrastructure best practices.

- Familiarity with leading OEM technologies such as Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo ISG, Cisco, NetApp, Nutanix and Veeam.

- Relevant OEM certifications are mandatory

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a agile environment.

- Self-driven, proactive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Mandatory Requirements

- Work From Office (Bangalore) is mandatory (5 days a week).

- Willingness to travel for customer meetings across India whenever required.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced SI environment with multiple stakeholders and demanding timelines.

- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take complete responsibility for opportunities from technical qualification to solution submission.

- Flexibility to support critical customer engagements and bid submissions beyond standard working hours whenever business demands.
