An Estimation & Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing project cost estimates, quantity calculations, contractor/client bills, and monitoring the financial progress of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed BOQ and project estimates based on drawings and specifications.
Calculate quantities for civil, interior, electrical, plumbing, and other works.
Prepare material and labour cost estimates.
Prepare and verify client bills and contractor/subcontractor bills.
Check site measurements and ensure billing is based on actual completed work.
Prepare RA bills / stage-wise bills as per project progress.
Track approved quantities, executed quantities, and balance quantities.
Coordinate with the Architectural, Estimation, Production, Site, Procurement, and Accounts teams.
Verify material usage and identify quantity/cost variations.
Prepare additional work / variation estimates whenever the scope changes.
Maintain project-wise cost sheets and billing records.
Support payment certification and coordinate with Accounts for payment follow-up.
Compare estimated cost vs. actual project cost.
Maintain proper documentation of quotations, BOQs, measurements, bills, and approvals.
Identify cost overruns and report them to the management.
Ensure all billing and estimation documents are accurate and submitted on time.
