Manage OPD/IPD patients with kidney-related disorders.
Diagnose and treat AKI, CKD, nephrotic syndrome, glomerular diseases, electrolyte and acid–base disorders.
Manage hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients.
Supervise and manage the dialysis unit.
Handle renal emergencies and provide consultations for ICU and emergency patients.
Manage complications associated with dialysis and advanced kidney disease.
Perform or supervise procedures such as renal biopsy and dialysis catheter-related procedures, as per hospital privileges.
Evaluate patients for renal replacement therapy and kidney transplantation, where applicable.
Coordinate care with urologists, intensivists, surgeons and other specialists.
Counsel patients and families regarding dialysis, medication, diet and long-term kidney care.
