Sales Representative — Job Role
Customer Handling
Welcome customers and understand their requirements, taste, budget and project needs.
Assist customers in selecting suitable fabrics, curtains, wallpapers, blinds, carpets, upholstery and other furnishings.
Provide a premium and qualified showroom experience.
Handle walk-in customers, designers, architects and contractors courteously.
Product Knowledge
Maintain thorough knowledge of all products, brands, materials, colours, textures, specifications and pricing.
Explain product features, quality, applications and maintenance requirements.
Stay updated on recent collections and products.
Sales & Conversion
Prepare quotations and communicate pricing accurately.
Recommend suitable products and alternatives based on the customer’s requirement.
Negotiate within the company’s approved pricing limits.
Convert enquiries into confirmed orders and achieve monthly sales targets.
Upsell and cross-sell complementary products.
Client Follow-up
Maintain records of enquiries and pending quotations.
Follow up with customers regularly through calls and messages.
Track the status of orders from enquiry to confirmation and delivery.
Maintain relationships with repeat customers, architects and interior designers.
Order Coordination
Collect accurate measurements,
product specifications and customer requirements.
Coordinate with the back office, vendors and installation teams.
Ensure orders are correctly entered and communicated.
Inform customers about expected delivery and installation timelines.
Showroom Management
Keep product displays, samples and catalogues organised and presentable.
Ensure the showroom is clean and properly maintained.
Check sample availability and report missing/damaged samples.
Maintain proper presentation of the merchandise at all times.
Reporting & Accountability
Maintain daily enquiry and sales records.
Submit daily/weekly sales reports.
Track quotations, conversions, pending payments and outstanding orders.
Maintain an updated customer database.
