Job Profile :

Technical Expertise
Work on engineering of utility-scale BESS projects (standalone and hybrid with solar/wind). BESS sizing and Modeling of RTC Projects with BESS
Define system architecture, sizing, and configuration based on project requirements and grid codes.
Develop and review single-line diagrams, system layouts, control logic, and protection schemes.
Evaluate and finalize key components (cells, racks, PCS, BMS, EMS, transformers, switchgear, HVAC/fire systems).

Design & Engineering Management
Prepare detailed design specifications, technical drawings, and engineering deliverables.
Conduct energy modeling, performance simulations, degradation assessments, and lifecycle analysis.
Ensure engineering designs meet safety, reliability, and performance standards as per IEC/IEEE/CEA/IS norms.
Collaborate with civil, electrical, SCADA, and project teams for site integration. Relay Settings and configuration of numerical relays

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Support vendor evaluation, technology benchmarking, and bid technical assessment.
Interface with OEMs, EPCs, and consultants for design optimization and technical clarifications.




Provide engineering inputs during contract negotiation, FATs, and site inspections.
Liaise with utilities, regulatory bodies, and system operators for grid compliance approvals.

Project Execution Support
Provide technical oversight during project implementation, commissioning, and performance testing. Engineering of future configuration of BESS like developing a scheme of DC Coupling over the time
Troubleshoot engineering issues during installation and operation phases.
Capture lessons learned and update engineering standards and checklists.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering / Power Systems / Energy Systems (or related field).
8 - 10 years of experience in renewable energy, with minimum 5 years in utility-scale BESS design and engineering.
Solid knowledge of battery technologies (Li-ion, LFP, NMC), PCS/EMS systems, and grid interconnection requirements.
Experience in hybrid project integration (Solar + BESS / Wind + BESS) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, PSCAD, PVSyst) and MS Office.
Familiarity with safety standards (NFPA, NEC, IEC, IEEE) and grid codes.
