The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting management with timely financial information. This role requires solid accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a structured business setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations
Maintain accurate books of accounts on a daily basis
Record and review all accounting transactions, including expenses, income, and adjustments
Ensure correct classification of entries under appropriate accounting heads
Maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and cash balances
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
Track outstanding receivables and coordinate collections
Maintain ageing reports for payables and receivables
Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
Statutory Compliance
Handle compliance related to GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable laws
Prepare and assist in filing statutory returns and reports
Coordinate with consultants and auditors for compliance matters
Maintain records required for audits and assessments
Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare periodic financial statements and MIS reports
Assist in preparation of monthly and annual closing
Support management with financial data and analysis as required
Highlight variances or financial concerns to management
Audit & Coordination
Assist in internal and external audits
Provide schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents
Liaise with banks, auditors, and consultants when required
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
5–8 years of relevant accounting experience
Robust knowledge of Indian accounting practices and statutory compliances
Experience using accounting software such as Tally or ERP systems
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic financial reporting tools
