We are looking for an organized and effective Logistics Executive to coordinate and manage day-to-day logistics and transportation activities. The role will be responsible for shipment planning, transporter coordination, dispatch documentation, delivery tracking, and ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.
Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate daily transportation and logistics activities.
Plan and arrange transportation for incoming and outgoing materials.
Coordinate with transporters, drivers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
Arrange vehicles as per dispatch and delivery requirements.
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
Prepare and verify logistics and dispatch documents.
Coordinate preparation of Delivery Challans, invoices, e-way bills, LR/GR, and other required documents.
Ensure accurate loading and dispatch of materials.
Coordinate with Stores and Dispatch teams for material readiness.
Monitor vehicle movement and provide regular shipment status updates.
Follow up with transporters regarding delayed or pending deliveries.
Handle transportation-related issues such as delays, damages, shortages, or documentation discrepancies.
Maintain records of vehicle details, transporter details, freight costs, and deliveries.
Verify transporter bills and coordinate with Accounts for payment processing.
Monitor logistics expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Maintain proper documentation and records of all logistics transactions.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics MIS reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation requirements.
Support management in improving logistics efficiency and reducing transportation costs.
