The Warehouse & Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensuring inventory accuracy across all branches. This role requires robust organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate stock movements while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct weekly stock counts and ensure inventory records are accurate.
Investigate and report stock discrepancies, working with management to resolve variances.
Offload incoming shipping containers safely and efficiently.
Receive, inspect, and correctly store incoming goods.
Coordinate and organise stock transfers between branches to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Conduct stock and operational audits across multiple branches, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
Ensure all customer and branch orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched on time.
Verify dispatch documentation and ensure the correct products are delivered to the correct locations.
Maintain a clean, organised, and protected warehouse environment.
Assist with general warehouse duties, including loading, unloading, and stock replenishment.
Work closely with branch managers and the operations team to improve inventory control and operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock safely.
Valuable communication skills.
Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems is advantageous.
A valid drivers licence is preferred, as travel between branches may be required.
