Job Description (JD)
Job Title: Asst. Sales Manager Freight Forwarding
Key Responsibilities:
Generate new business from importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders, and e-commerce companies.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
Promote freight forwarding services such as:
Air freight
Sea freight (FCL/LCL)
Road transportation
Customs clearance
Warehousing
Door-to-door logistics
Prepare quotations and negotiate freight rates, credit terms, and commercial conditions with customers.
Coordinate with the operations, pricing, documentation, and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
Visit customers regularly and understand their logistics requirements.
Identify potential customers through market research, references, cold calling, networking, and industry contacts.
Maintain a sales pipeline and provide regular reports on leads, opportunities, conversions, revenue, and target achievement.




Monitor competitors, market rates, and changing customer requirements.
Handle customer complaints and work with internal teams to resolve issues.
Develop long-term customer relationships and increase business through cross-selling and upselling.
Follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with the finance team.

Skills usually required
Experience in freight forwarding / logistics / shipping / supply chain sales.
Valuable knowledge of Air & Sea freight, FCL/LCL, import/export, and basic customs processes.
Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Valuable customer relationship management.
Ability to generate leads and close business.
Target-oriented and comfortable with field sales.
Knowledge of CRM/ERP and MS Excel.
Valuable understanding of international trade and shipping terminology.
