Job Description – Black Belt (Continuous Improvement & Transformation)

Location: Thane (Olympus ODC)

Experience: 10+ years in F&A; / BPO / Shared Services, including 3+ years in Lean Six Sigma / process excellence roles

Role Purpose:

Drive measurable process excellence and transformation across Finance & Accounting operations. The role will wear multiple hats as a Lean Six Sigma coach, process SME, trainer, and on-floor improvement partner, enabling teams to solve business problems, improve controls, and sustain benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects across AP, AR, GL, cash application, and related support processes
- Identify improvement opportunities through process reviews, data analysis, value-stream mapping, root-cause analysis, and stakeholder inputs
- Coach Green Belts, team leaders, and operations SMEs on structured problem-solving and benefit realization
- Act as an on-floor SME and improvement partner to translate operational pain points into practical solutions
- Design and deliver training on Lean Six Sigma, problem-solving tools, process controls, and continuous improvement behaviours
- Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional improvement forums
- Create project charters, define baselines, establish benefit-tracking mechanisms, and monitor delivery against agreed milestones
- Partner with operations, quality, training, technology, and transformation teams to implement automation and standardization opportunities
- Build dashboards and management updates covering project status, productivity, quality, cycle time,



and realized benefits
- Strengthen control effectiveness, standard work, SOPs, and governance to sustain improvements after project closure
- Support client discussions and governance reviews with clear, data-backed recommendations and progress updates
- Develop a continuous improvement pipeline and build problem-solving capability across the account

Key Skills & Qualifications:

- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a recognized institution
- Strong command of DMAIC, statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, process mapping, FMEA, control plans, and benefit validation
- Good understanding of F&A; operations, preferably AP, AR, GL, cash application, or leasing / BFSI processes
- Strong coaching, facilitation, classroom training, and on-floor mentoring skills
- Ability to convert data into transparent business insights and actionable recommendations
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of analytical or visualization tools is preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across operations, clients, and support functions
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to balance coaching, SME support, training, and project delivery

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in global BFSI, leasing, banking, or shared-services operations
- Exposure to automation, workflow, ERP, or analytics-led transformation initiatives
- Experience developing Green Belts, process champions, or continuous improvement communities
- Track record of delivering and sustaining measurable productivity, quality, control, or cycle-time benefits
